Helps set transparency to windows. TransWin 2.0 TransWin helps set transparency to windows. Unlike Windows Vista/7 Aero, it can set the transparency to the whole client area of any windows. It can also set transparency to task bar, start menu, pop up menu etc. It can be used to set transparency under Windows 2000/XP too. The transparency ratio is controllable, and it supports filters to let you control the transparency for special programs and windows.

I have widgets on my desktop, the program put black outline around them. Not impressed at all.I tried a few other of the transparent window software's, and they all did it.

Adds a transparency option to the system menu Transparent Windows 2.1 Martin's Transparent Windows adds a transparency option to the system menu of all programs, making it possible to obscure any window on your desktop. People looking over your shoulder, want to use MSN descreetly in the office... use transparent windows to set the transparency to anything from 0 - 90%. Similar to the new Aero Glass feature of Windows Vista

Well i just love the Transparent Windows, but it would of been More helpful if it were a little more transparent, because when i stood like 9 steps back and looked at my screen, i could still see some of the animation going on the page. If something can be done about it, do let me know.

a handy program. Thanks!

A cool and easy to install solution. With an easy to use interface, an almost instant installation and full functionality within minutes this a highly recomended download, it is also safe and adds no spamware or annoying bars of any kind anywhere on your computer. It also looks cool by the way.

Good but doesn`t support multiple monitors I tried it with my dual-monitor setup and when it was running, it stopped me moving windows between the two monitors. as soon as i closed it i could move windows again. Apart from that it worked great and was very easy to install / use. In terms of making windows transparent (which is what it was meant to do!) it worked very well, although for some reason it wouldn't work with a command prompt window.

Exactly what I was looking for This program is precisely what I was looking for. Not too over-complicated, just a simple way of making windows transparent if need be. With limited screen space it's v difficult to keep switching back and forth across different windows to compare information in two different applications, and this fulfils the task perfectly. And free!

Not as useful as it could be Maybe the fact that this program wasn't what I was looking for, make me realise that the way the transparencies where perform let me either see only the background windows or the front ones. I could not find a fine transparency level in order to take out all the posibilities to this program.I would find far more useful a program that maps a specific color to a completly transparent color; in order to turn, for example, the unused background of a Web Browser into completly or partialy transparent.
